Sexual Health and Education Across the Lifespan
High quality teaching and learning about a broad variety of topics related to sex and sexuality. It explores values and beliefs about those topics and helps people gain the skills that are needed to navigate relationships with self, partners, and community, and manage one’s own sexual health.

Periods, Pelvic Pain, Painful Sex and Menopause

Body and Body Autonomy
Education on body parts correct names to build each participants growth of personal autonomy, agency and advocacy of their own bodies. Exploring participants body positivity and feeling comfortable in your own skin. This education session will also focus on Porn- culture and its impact on societal norms and unrealistic expectations.

Contraception Options and Scripting
Evidence-based information on all contraception methods- which can be tailored to each individual and their past medical history, or overall information for a group setting. Linda has the ability to script and administer contraception options.
QSHEI is a safe, pro-choice space to discuss all pregnancy options.

Consent Education and the Law
Paramount education on what consent means and can also present like in various situations. Participants will be able to build on this knowledge to build capacity for a future of healthy and respectful relationships. This will explore Inter-partner violence, sexual assault and violence and domestic violence.

Healthy and Respectful
Relationships
Developing behaviours and attitudes that promote healthy, safe and respectful relationships. Participants will be supported in a safe space to challenge their current lens of relationships and explore various evidence-based education tools to build their knowledge. and be provided with tools moving forward to participate in healthy and respectful relationships.

Safe Online Practices
Information and education on Cyberbullying, image-based abuse and sextortion (and what to do if this happens to you). A larger platform of online child sexual exploitation and how online grooming can present in various online streaming platforms is also explored.
Meet Linda.
Director of QSHEI
Linda Kirby is an APRHA registered Nurse Practitioner and Sexologist with specialist knowledge in emergency, forensic medicine, sexual and reproductive health with a particular focus on women’s health.

Linda’s nursing background has been working in rural and remote locations in the Kimberly’s to Mornington Island; Collaboratively with Australian Immigration providing care for refugees; Offender Health (Prisons); Reproductive and Sexual Health and Forensic medicine in Queensland.
​
Any of Linda’s clients (and friends) can attest to her passion and advocacy for women’s health equality and intersectional feminism. Linda’s intention is always to provide an inclusive and sex positive space for her clients, utilising and applying the fundamental principles of sexology in her clinical practice.
Linda is able to collaborate and refer to specialists and allied health clinicians for holistic, participant- centred care.
